děčín, the kingdom of peacocks (děčín, czech republic)
What started as a spontaneous border hop from Saxon Switzerland ended in one of the most graceful encounters I’ve had so far. Schloss Děčín isn’t just a castle, it’s a kingdom ruled by peacocks.
Me and my girlfriend were lucky enough to witness a rare display: both the male and female plumping up their feathers right next to each other. But the real "once-in-a-lifetime" moment was catching a peacock mid-flight. I honestly didn't even know they could fly until I saw this one gliding down from a high stone wall directly toward me. This series captures the raw elegance of these birds in a place I never expected to find them.
a day in děčín (děčín, czech republic)
There’s a specific kind of magic that happens when you travel without a plan. This series captures our short escape to Děčín, just across the German border. Within the town you can feel elegant architecture meeting industrial history. Through the lens of my camera, I wanted to capture the contrast between the grand castle sitting high above the river and the hidden, quiet corners of the streets below. It was a day of pure exploration and the perfect second chapter to our trip through the mountains.
