four days east (brașov / bran / bucharest / sinaia, romania)
This trip to Romania was one of my first solo photo journeys, the third time I’d set out on my own with just a camera. It was a whirlwind four days covering Bucharest, Brașov, and Bran, including a grueling 24-hour transit across the border to Moldova and back.
Looking back at the rolls, many frames didn’t make the cut. Shooting exclusively on analog is a gamble, and this time, the technical failures were part of the learning curve. But despite the exhaustion and the missed shots, a few frames survived that captured the true atmosphere of the trip. Romania was beautiful in its own rugged way, and I hope to return one day with more time to breathe and explore and also with the experience that I have gained since then.
